"Death Journaling" Weekend Immersion with Francesca Arnoldy

Hosted by Death Doula LA in Chinatown, Los Angeles!

Let's gather to honor our human need for self-reflection as we seek a deeper understanding of our own thoughts and experiences related to living fully and dying prepared.

Welcoming deathcare providers, death literacy advocates, and curious mortals alike!

INTENTIONS

  • Contemplation: Feel invited to reflect back, turn inward, and plan ahead.

  • Creativity: Tap into your imagination and natural insightfulness.

  • Connection: Connect to yourself and a community of kindreds.

Expect topic talks, group discussions, partner debriefs, and reflective writing.

“In order to understand the world, one has to turn away from it on occasion.” – Albert Camus

TOPICS

  • First, we will bring our whole selves and hearts together by setting intentions and making a communal altar.

  • Next, we will discuss ingrained messaging and past experiences with mortality while exploring our own healing presence.

  • Then, we will focus on healthy preparedness as we create components of our Death Journals and consider how we might be held in the memories of others.

  • Infused throughout will be guided visualizations and contemplative prompts to foster clarity.

By the end of our immersion, your Death Journal will contain a number of unique, inspired entries with plenty of space for continued work!
